Many companies offer 1 or more paid volunteer days per year to support local community activities. On Wednesday 12th October Majura Pines Trail Alliance will be running a special midweek trail build aimed at such employees. If your company doesn’t support a scheme like this, or if you aren’t sure if they do, speak to your boss or HR department and ask why not. Of course, if you are available that day, for whatever reason, you are also more than welcome to join us.
About Majura Pines Trail Alliance
Majura Pines Trail Alliance is a registered ParkCare volunteer group with the ACT Parks and Conservation Services. All of our activities comply with the ACT Parks and Conservation Service Volunteer Policy and Code of Conduct. This policy includes insurance for personal accident and public liability through the ACT Insurance Authority (ACTIA) for registered volunteers. Risk Assessments are undertaken before activities and a senior first aider and standard first aid kit are always present.
Some New; Some Old
On 12th October we will be cutting in a small amount of new trail. However, after all the recent rain, most of our efforts will be on urgent maintenance work that is needed to get the trails open again.
