The inaugural, annual Majura Pines Corporate Trail Day was a huge success! Unfortunately all the recent rain meant we couldn’t cut in the new trail we had planned. However, a large amount of very beneficial maintenance work was undertaken by a great fun, hard working crew who all agreed it was the best day they had ever had in the office.
In the morning some serious drains were added to Love Shack (the short trail we all ride after Planet Claire), a bridge added to Lincoln and drains cleared on both Lincoln and Straight No Chaser as well as a crew who headed up and cleared a fallen tree on Larry and tidied up some drains on Barry and Rock Lobster. We also cut in a link trail between Love Shack and Sleepy Hollow but this won’t be open until the ground dries out.
After lunch we moved down to the bottom of Radicle / Wombat and cleared the gully of all the massive trees that washed down there recently. These had completely blocked the creek and were causing flooding on these trails. When the ground dries out we will restore the gully crossings here.
Our huge thanks to everyone who came along and all of the companies that support community volunteer days which allowed us to run this trail day. This is definitely going to be a regular event. These are just some of the organisations that made this day possible:

A huge thanks to our trail day sponsors Maitland Street Roasters, Three Mills Bakery and Capital Brewing Co. who kept everyone fueled up.
