With more rain last night, on to a saturated base, poor old Maj’ isn’t coping well. We appreciate it is going to be tempting to ride with sunshine forecast this weekend but it’s going to take weeks, not days, for the trails to dry out. Riding now will create damage that volunteers will have to fix.
If you really must get your singletrack fix then Barry and Planet Claire are your best bets. Ideally stay off lower Planet Claire until at least Sunday to allow the work we did on Wednesday to solidify. If you like the rockier trails then Space Elevator, Touching Cloth and Rocksanne shouldn’t be too bad. Please DO NOT ride Short Memory; it might look ok at the top but the lower berms are sodden.
Trails to definitely avoid are pretty much all of the XC trails, definitely winery hill (Pinot Grinio and Bombora) and The Flash at the beginner area.
